Brees Dorothy is my beautiful Siberian Husky. Of course my dog has a middle name, she is like my child. I do not have any children of my own--yet. She will always be my number one baby. Brees, NOT Breeze (like the wind) was named after New Orleans QB Drew Brees. I understand and full on know he is not a MN Viking. I am not gonna apologize for this. The year Brees was born the saints had won the Superbowl against all odds. The city of New Orleans had suffered a significant loss to hurricane Katrina and Drew is such a role model and a leader. My ex-husband (no i did not buy a pup with my ex, we were married at the time. who does that??) had told everyone in august that the saints were going all the way and were gonna win the super bowl. He was right. So we picked the most heroic and inspirational name we could think of and it led us to the name Brees. Also, i actually got to pick her out, so he got to pick the name. Dorothy is actually after my grandmother who has now passed. It fits Brees perfect. She is my happy, proud, stubborn, playful, loyal, adorable Siberian. Most people ask why in the world would we have picked such a name, but then they got off the topic when i say "look at her ice blue eye!" works every time. This Blog is about Brees. I hope you enjoy it and learning about Siberians at the same time. Its a wonderful breed.
