Brees

My grand idea to start blogger about my darling doggy came to me as i was doing my 16 hours of rest dying of mononucleosis. I wasn't literally dying, but it really isn't ideal to have. Most of you know mono as the "kissing disease" I wish i had been kissing hot guys, then this at least would have been worth the 3 months total of becoming human and normal again. Anyways, I thought to myself this might be a wonderful idea... (even on Oxycodone) so my plan is to blog every week until Brees turns 3 years old, so next September.

Brees Dorothy is my beautiful Siberian Husky. Of course my dog has a middle name, she is like my child. I do not have any children of my own--yet. She will always be my number one baby. Brees, NOT Breeze (like the wind) was named after New Orleans QB Drew Brees. I understand and full on know he is not a MN Viking. I am not gonna apologize for this. The year Brees was born the saints had won the Superbowl against all odds. The city of New Orleans had suffered a significant loss to hurricane Katrina and Drew is such a role model and a leader. My ex-husband (no i did not buy a pup with my ex, we were married at the time. who does that??) had told everyone in august that the saints were going all the way and were gonna win the super bowl. He was right. So we picked the most heroic and inspirational name we could think of and it led us to the name Brees. Also, i actually got to pick her out, so he got to pick the name. Dorothy is actually after my grandmother who has now passed. It fits Brees perfect. She is my happy, proud, stubborn, playful, loyal, adorable Siberian. Most people ask why in the world would we have picked such a name, but then they got off the topic when i say "look at her ice blue eye!" works every time. This Blog is about Brees. I hope you enjoy it and learning about Siberians at the same time. Its a wonderful breed.
