Drew Brees and Calvin Hayden

The breed in general is not good with: Cats or any small animals, rodents, birds or fowl, because of their prey drive instinct. There are of course exceptions, but don't count on it. If you desire to have or currently own such pets do not get a Siberian Husky.
I have Brees, My Siberian Husky and I have Calvin, My Black 3 year old Cat. They are best buds. When I was doing my research on the breed I was worried that any smaller animal such as a cat would be a huge problem. I wouldnt want Brees to think that my Calvin was prey!!! When we brought Brees home she was smaller than Calvin. Calvin would actually go lay in her crate and was very curious about the ball of fur that was smaller than him. He is also a tough Kitty, who lived on the streets of West Duluth (he has a pellet in his back to prove it.) I rescued him from Animal Allies one year before we brought Brees home. Brees loves to cuddle and be groomed by Calvin. Yes, they spat and play from time to time, but Calvin doesnt take any Husky crap from Breeser. All i have to say is "Be nice to kitty." and Brees knows who Calvin is... The Cat that loves to give me kisses and groom my double coat. :) They are best buddies and they always will be. Even though their names are from opposite football teams, they love eachother. Take this Husky myth to heart when considering if its right for you!!!

Happy Halloween!!!! Love, Calvin the Halloween Kitty :) http://youtu.be/ety7ZJYk33M (example I found on youtube!) they can coexist!!
